## About the Role
This Business Operations Specialist role sits within Vonage’s Applications business unit and supports a global Engineering team. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Operations Manager, the position is focused on improving operational performance, efficiency, and scalability across the organization.
The role is responsible for driving key initiatives that support engineering execution, including OKR management, executive reporting, and process improvement. It also contributes to operational oversight across FinOps, Architecture, and Application Performance.
## Key Responsibilities
– Improve operational processes and best practices across QA, FinOps, and Architecture.
– Identify workflow inefficiencies and help design scalable, repeatable operating processes.
– Capture, track, and drive execution of engineering OKRs.
– Partner with leadership to align engineering objectives with broader business priorities.
– Prepare high-level reports for the Executive Leadership Team, highlighting key metrics, trends, and insights.
– Support data-driven decision-making by improving visibility into team performance.
– Oversee high-priority projects to help ensure milestones, budgets, and quality standards are met.
– Work with project leads to monitor timelines, identify blockers, and support issue resolution.
## Required Skills
– 5+ years of experience in operations.
– FinOps Foundation Professional Certification.
– Experience managing OKRs and cross-functional initiatives.
– Strong reporting and metrics analysis experience, including presenting to executive leadership.
– Experience with process optimization.
– Working knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, QA, FinOps, and software architecture.
– Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
– Proficiency with Jira, Trello, Tableau, and Power BI.
– Strong understanding of software engineering principles.
– Ability to translate technical processes into business impact.
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
## Preferred Skills
– Experience in a technology or engineering environment managing cloud and vendor costs.
– Advanced degrees.
– Project management certifications such as PMP.
