# Business Operations Specialist – Cloud

## About the Role
Join WPP Media as a Business Operations Specialist – Cloud, where you’ll be an integral part of the Global Operations Centre (GOC). In this role, you will collaborate with diverse teams across the United States, Europe, and Asia to develop high-impact solutions. Your primary focus will be on cloud financial management, including cost analysis and optimization for our Media cluster, ensuring effective FinOps delivery in partnership with Finance and Technology teams.

Your contributions will drive transparency in cloud spending and foster continuous improvement in financial operations. This position directly impacts the ability of WPP Media to optimize its cloud investments and enhance overall financial efficiency.

## Key Responsibilities
– **FinOps Delivery Support**: Collaborate with the central FinOps team and serve as the Finance point-of-contact for Media cloud cost topics.
– **Cloud Spend Analysis**: Evaluate Media cloud spending to identify cost drivers and trends while enhancing cost attribution processes for better insight.
– **Cloud Cost Optimization**: Partner with technology and product teams to discover and validate opportunities for cloud cost savings, tracking progress and outcomes.
– **Forecasting and Budgeting Support**: Assist in the forecasting and budgeting processes while monitoring variances and aligning operational needs with financial plans.
– **Reporting and Governance**: Produce high-quality financial reports and documentation, ensuring compliance with WPP Finance policies and refining FinOps practices.

## Required Skills
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT Finance or Tech Finance as a Financial Analyst, with requisite skills in cost analysis, IT budgeting, and variance explanation.
– Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
– Proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex data analysis (exposure to Microsoft Copilot or AI tools is a plus).
– Familiarity with ERPs and CRMs.
– Understanding of cloud costs and FinOps concepts, with a capacity for analyzing consumption-based spending.
– Proven experience in navigating large, matrix organizations and international collaboration.
– Self-motivated and proactive, with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
