## About the Role
This remote Account Manager position is part of DoiT’s North America team and is based in Canada, with a preference for Eastern Canada. The role focuses on managing existing customer relationships, identifying opportunities for deeper engagement, and helping retain customers over the long term.
You will work closely with customers, cloud vendor teams, support, and engineering to resolve issues, surface growth opportunities, and bring customer feedback into product priorities. The role also supports quarterly business reviews, projected cloud spend discussions, and negotiations around long-term commitments.
## Key Responsibilities
– Build a strong understanding of the company’s cloud management platform, support model, services, and customer needs.
– Own customer context and communication with vendor teams, highlighting account value and expansion opportunities.
– Manage customer support escalations through to resolution with a strong focus on satisfaction.
– Negotiate and close long-term commitments while balancing customer, vendor, and company priorities.
– Identify new workload opportunities within customer cloud environments and SaaS solutions.
– Maintain regular contact across your customer portfolio, including both strategic accounts and fast-growing customers.
– Gather customer feedback and share it with product and engineering teams to help shape priorities.
– Lead quarterly reviews covering project timelines, projected cloud spend, and feedback on support and engagement.
– Identify cost optimization opportunities within customer cloud environments.
– Partner with cloud vendor sales representatives on shared customers.
## Required Skills
– 2+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or Customer Engineering.
– 3+ years of experience working at a technology company.
– Strong verbal and written communication skills.
– Strong technical skills and the ability to work effectively with technical teams.
– Ability to build strong and influential relationships.
– Strong operational and administrative skills.
– Analytical, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to switch between high-level and detailed work.
– Desire to grow within the organization and expand your skill set.
– Sense of humor and enjoyment of a fun work environment.
## Preferred Skills
– Experience with AWS, GCP, or other major public clouds.
– Experience in the FinOps ecosystem.
– AWS Cloud Practitioner or Google Cloud Digital Leader certification.
