# IT Economics Manager
## About the Role
The IT Economics Manager plays a crucial role in aligning financial management with technology strategy in a leading international financial institution. This position is responsible for leading the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and multi-year strategic planning for IT Run portfolios. Collaborating with Technology, Finance, and Business stakeholders, the IT Economics Manager ensures that financial insights are translated into actionable strategies while influencing decision-making across a vast IT portfolio.
The role’s objectives include monitoring and analyzing IT spending across various domains, such as applications, infrastructure, and vendor services. By producing financial reports and dashboards, this role aids in strategic oversight and compliance with established standards, aiming to optimize costs and identify savings initiatives.
## Key Responsibilities
– Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year strategic planning (CAPEX/OPEX) for IT Run portfolios.
– Monitor and analyze IT spending across applications, infrastructure, licenses, vendors, and shared services.
– Produce financial reports, dashboards, and executive committee presentations in compliance with group IT taxonomy standards.
– Identify, quantify, and track IT cost-saving initiatives, engaging C-level and senior stakeholders internationally.
## Required Skills
– 10+ years of experience in Controlling, Finance, IT, Operations, or Consulting, preferably in financial services.
– Strong academic background in IT, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration.
– Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP Integrated Planning, ServiceNow, or Power BI is a plus.
– Strong communication skills with the ability to convey financial insights to senior stakeholders effectively.
