# Director, IT Finance
## About the Role
The Director of IT Finance will establish structure and financial accountability within Hearst Technology Services’ (HTS) enterprise IT and software assets. Reporting to the VP of Finance & Business Operations, this position is essential for maintaining the integrity and governance of asset data, which directly impacts cost management, budget adherence, and compliance reporting across the organization.
In this role, you will collaborate with various teams, including Technology Sourcing, Procurement, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), to ensure alignment on contract terms and financial reporting. The Director will also play a pivotal role in advocating for the adoption of AI and automation to streamline processes, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency.
## Key Responsibilities
– **Governance, Data Quality & Rigor**
– Oversee the governance of the enterprise asset management system, improving data standards and audit trails across the asset lifecycle.
– **Financial Management, Licensing & Contracts**
– Manage software license compliance and optimization for major enterprise vendors, working closely with Technology Sourcing and Procurement for contract negotiations and FP&A for financial alignment.
– **Platform Strategy & Replatforming**
– Define the strategic direction for the enterprise IT/software asset management platform, evaluate current limitations, and lead proof-of-concept initiatives for potential replatforming.
– **Operational Partnership & Prioritization**
– Facilitate collaboration among infrastructure, security, application, and business unit stakeholders to prioritize internal initiatives effectively.
– **AI & Automation Enablement**
– Promote the implementation of AI and automation technologies to reduce manual tasks and improve asset management workflows.
– **Team Leadership & People Management**
– Lead the team of software and hardware asset managers, transitioning the focus from traditional data provisioning to data-driven governance and business intelligence.
