# Vice President, FP&A – Technology & Operations
## About the Role
The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for Technology & Operations will play a critical role in overseeing financial aspects related to Enterprise Services and Digital Workplace costs. This position is situated within the FP&A team of Strategic Finance at BlackRock and requires close collaboration with Enterprise Services and Digital Workplace leadership, as well as various finance stakeholders. The primary objective is to provide comprehensive financial oversight, strategic cost planning, forecasting, and performance analysis to ensure sound financial management, effective investment decisions, and achievement of corporate financial targets.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence within the firm’s technology and operations functions, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement. You will lead the development of long-term strategic financial plans and metrics that align with business objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning among your team.
## Key Responsibilities
– Oversee FP&A functions for Enterprise Services and Digital Workplace, focusing on real estate and technology costs.
– Establish financial ownership and accountability across assigned teams.
– Ensure disciplined cost planning, forecasting, and management of investment spending.
– Implement standardized FP&A processes and reduce reliance on manual intervention.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges, develop insights, and drive strategic decision-making.
– Partner with leadership to create long-term strategic plans and performance metrics.
– Mentor and develop the skills of FP&A professionals on your team.
## Required Skills
– Minimum of 7 years of FP&A experience in a large, complex organization, preferably in technology, operations, real estate, or similar fields.
– Proven experience managing large cost bases, including operating expenses and capital investments.
– Strong financial modeling, analytical capabilities, and experience with investment scenario analysis.
– Ability to communicate financial insights effectively to senior management.
– In-depth knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles.
– Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial systems; experience with TM1/Cognos, Tableau, or Power BI is preferred.
– Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional qualifications are a plus.
