# Planning and Budgeting & Analysis Officer

## About the Role
Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) is seeking a Planning and Budgeting & Analysis Officer to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. This position plays a crucial role in developing project budgets and periodic forecasts that provide senior management with accurate information for strategic decision-making. The officer will be instrumental in driving performance improvements and identifying potential risks and opportunities within the organization and the broader market.

In this role, you will collaborate with various departments, ensuring clear communication and data integrity in financial reporting. The position emphasizes process improvement as part of our ongoing AI-driven transformation efforts, offering a unique opportunity for finance professionals to take charge of key planning functions.

## Key Responsibilities
– Collaborate in the creation and timely delivery of project budgets and forecasts.
– Coordinate, consolidate, review, and analyze data across all business lines to support the budgeting process.
– Support month-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
– Prepare detailed monthly reports for relevant stakeholders.
– Conduct analysis of actual results versus forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
– Assist in the preparation of financial presentations on plans and forecasts.
– Build relationships with business partners to provide timely financial support.
– Enhance and streamline finance workflows continuously.
– Manage supplier/vendor payments and account reconciliations.
– Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
– 4-8 years of experience in data-heavy budgeting and analysis processes within multinational companies.
– Strong proficiency with Power BI and other financial automation tools, with a focus on AI application.
– Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
– Ability to approach unstructured problems with effective analysis and solutions.
– Collaborative approach, confident in gathering input from various stakeholders.
– Strong interpersonal skills, capable of facilitating meetings and presenting recommendations.
– Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
– Proactive and dependable, focused on achieving high-quality outcomes.

## Preferred Skills
– Experience in financial reporting and analysis within a large organization.
– Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
