# Cloud FinOps Specialist
## About the Role
Latitude is seeking a Cloud FinOps Specialist to provide financial governance across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments supporting a federal healthcare customer.
This fully remote U.S. position is part of a cloud operations and migration team. You will collaborate with program leadership, engineering, and operations to improve cloud-spend visibility, maintain budget control, and identify opportunities to increase value.
The role will also establish financial governance practices suitable for FedRAMP High and NIST 800-53 environments.
## Key Responsibilities
– Build and maintain cloud cost dashboards and leadership reports across GCP and OCI.
– Manage cloud budgets and configure alerts to identify unusual spending.
– Establish and enforce tagging standards for cost allocation, forecasting, and reporting.
– Evaluate rightsizing opportunities, committed-use options, and architecture changes to reduce costs.
– Provide technical direction and develop cloud-environment standards.
– Support financial governance within regulated federal environments.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, accounting or finance, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
– At least five years of experience in cloud financial management, FinOps, or cloud operations.
– At least three years of experience leading technical teams, including setting technical standards and providing technical direction.
– Hands-on experience with GCP and OCI billing structures and cost-management tools.
– Experience developing cost dashboards using native or third-party tools.
– Strong data-analysis capabilities and knowledge of tagging, consumption-based billing, and multi-cloud governance.
– Experience working in FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53, or comparable regulated environments.
– Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation for Public Trust.
– U.S. citizenship and physical residence in the United States for at least three years.
– Ability to meet security-investigation requirements, including potential access requirements for protected or classified information.
## Preferred Skills
– FinOps Certified Practitioner certification or a comparable FinOps credential.
– Active Public Trust.
– Cloud certification in GCP, OCI, AWS, or Azure.
– Experience managing GCP Committed Use Discounts and OCI Universal Credits or annual commitments.
– Experience managing costs for Oracle BYOL, Exadata, and Autonomous Database services.
– Experience with Cloudability, Apptio, or Kubecost.
– Experience in government or other regulated enterprise environments.
