# Advisor, Infrastructure Engineering – Cloud FinOps Analyst

## About the Role

Fiserv is seeking a Cloud FinOps Analyst to develop and mature cloud financial management capabilities across the organization. The role will translate cloud usage into financial insights, improve cost transparency, and support forecasting and optimization across AWS, with potential coverage of Azure and GCP.

You will act as a liaison between engineering, product, and finance teams. The position will support cloud cost reporting, forecasting, KPI development, stakeholder enablement, and the adoption of cost governance practices.

## Key Responsibilities

– Partner with engineering, product, and finance teams on cloud cost management.
– Build and maintain cloud cost forecasts, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting.
– Attribute cloud costs to teams and services and identify key cost drivers.
– Prepare stakeholder presentations, visualizations, and actionable recommendations.
– Support the development and rollout of FinOps governance, operating processes, and stakeholder onboarding.
– Recommend capabilities for cost allocation, anomaly detection, budgeting, and optimization workflows.
– Identify cost anomalies and optimization opportunities, then work with engineering teams to implement improvements.
– Maintain relationships with stakeholders adopting FinOps tools, processes, and reporting.
– Travel up to 25% when required.

## Required Skills

– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
– 2–5+ years of experience in Cloud FinOps, cloud cost management, FP&A, cloud platform operations, or technical financial analysis.
– Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP billing, pricing models, and discount mechanisms.
– Experience with cost allocation, forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization analysis.
– Advanced proficiency in Excel.
– Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
– Ability to work directly with engineering teams and translate cloud usage into financial insights and recommendations.
– Familiarity with FinOps frameworks and best practices.

## Preferred Skills

– FinOps Certified Practitioner certification or a cloud certification.
– Experience supporting regulated industries, including financial services.
– Strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing without authority and driving adoption of cost governance practices.

## FinOps Responsibilities

– Align cloud cost reporting with financial plans, including AWS cost reporting.
– Establish cost allocation across teams and services.
– Define KPIs and scorecards covering allocation coverage, forecast accuracy, unit economics, and optimization pipelines.
– Improve real-time cloud cost visibility through dashboards and reporting.
– Identify anomalies, cost drivers, and optimization opportunities.
– Support FinOps governance, operating cadence, and stakeholder onboarding.
– Help evaluate tools for allocation, anomaly detection, budgeting, and optimization workflows.
