# IT Controlling Specialist
## About the Role
This role is responsible for planning, analyzing, and monitoring costs across the entire IT organization, with a focus on economic efficiency, cost control, and budget adherence.
You will act as a business partner between management, IT leaders, business departments, Group Controlling, and Procurement. The position also supports decision-making by preparing financial analyses, investment evaluations, presentations, and management reports.
The role contributes to the development of IT performance indicators, automated reporting, internal IT service charging, and complex IT projects with a controlling focus.
## Key Responsibilities
– Plan, analyze, and proactively monitor IT costs and cost-center budgets.
– Manage the IT budget, including planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
– Partner with management, IT leadership, business functions, Group Controlling, and Procurement.
– Develop meaningful IT KPIs with the BI team and support automated reporting.
– Prepare presentations, financial analyses, and cost-benefit assessments for IT leadership and executive management.
– Manage commercial topics, including transfer-pricing documentation and accurate internal service charging.
– Review and develop the internal IT service-charging model as part of corporate planning.
– Contribute to and lead complex IT projects with a controlling focus.
## Required Skills
– Degree in Business Administration, IT Management, Business Informatics with a Controlling focus, or an equivalent qualification.
– Several years of relevant experience in a comparable position.
– Strong knowledge of IT controlling.
– Expertise in operational controlling, cost and performance accounting, and related tax matters.
– Practical experience with planning and forecasting, budget-versus-actual analysis, KPI-based reporting, and business-case calculations.
– Experience in complex IT transformation projects, such as cloud migrations or SaaS implementations.
– Strong change-management and project-management skills.
– Excellent analytical and conceptual abilities, combined with an independent, structured, accurate, and conscientious working style.
– Careful handling of sensitive data.
– Confident use of Microsoft Excel and financial-planning tools.
– Strong communication skills.
– German at C1 level or higher and good English skills.
