# Senior Financial Analyst

## About the Role

AWS is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Data Center Finance team in Asia-Pacific. The role supports financial controllership for the AWS Data Center Community and focuses on improving financial performance across the business.

You will work closely with AWS senior leadership and other internal stakeholders to provide financial insight, analysis, and recommendations. The position supports business areas including operations, business development, construction, and carbon-free energy, with a strong emphasis on improving economics, cash flow, and decision-making.

## Key Responsibilities

– Partner with AWS senior management and internal stakeholders to provide financial guidance and recommendations.
– Work with the business on sourcing and supply management strategies.
– Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and financial performance reports.
– Develop ad hoc analyses and present recommendations to senior leadership.
– Support cost-saving initiatives, automation, and process improvements across finance, construction, IT, and design.
– Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and help build new processes for a growing global business.
– Communicate data and analysis clearly in both verbal and written formats.

## Required Skills

– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or another analytical field such as engineering, math, or computer science.
– 4+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
– 4+ years of experience building financial and operational reports or datasets that support business decisions.
– 4+ years of experience driving process improvements through automation and analysis.
– Strong ability to communicate data clearly and concisely.

## Preferred Skills

– MBA or CPA.
– Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as SQL, MS Access, Essbase, and Cognos.
– Experience with financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Lawson, and JD Edwards.
– Experience identifying and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
