## About the Role
This is a senior finance business partnering role within Technology and Operations Finance, supporting a large organisation with 40,000+ employees and a $4b cost base. The T&O Finance team has 175+ people across multiple locations and supports the wider Technology and Operations function.
You will serve as the lead Finance Business Partner to the CIO, Software Engineering, and senior leadership, working closely with the Tech Domain Lead of Software Engineering and the Tech CFO. The role exists to provide accurate, timely insight that supports executive decisions, strengthens financial governance, and helps shape the technology agenda.
The focus is on managing the financial performance of the Software Engineering portfolio across costs and headcount, while improving forecasting, planning, reporting, and decision support. You will also help drive better financial transparency, stronger controls, and improved efficiency across finance processes.
## Key Responsibilities
– Lead finance business partnering for the Software Engineering portfolio and senior technology stakeholders.
– Own budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and strategic planning across costs and headcount.
– Provide forward-looking analysis on financial performance, productivity, capacity, and key business drivers.
– Advise senior leaders on risks, trade-offs, affordability, and investment decisions.
– Build strong relationships with CIOs, Engineering Heads, Product Leaders, Programme Directors, and Finance leadership.
– Represent Technology Finance in executive forums, governance reviews, and transformation discussions.
– Improve financial transparency, management information, data quality, automation, and decision support.
– Drive simplification, digitisation, and standardisation of reporting and planning processes.
– Support finance change programmes, including cost and workforce reporting and the Strategic FXN solution.
– Strengthen team capability, succession planning, collaboration, and a high-performance culture.
– Maintain strong governance, controls, compliance, and risk management standards.
– Ensure compliance with Group Accounting Principles, Financial Control policy, and relevant regulatory accounting requirements.

– Manage budgeting, forecasting, and planning for a technology portfolio.
– Improve cost reporting, including incurred and recharge cost reporting, outlook, and plan processes.
– Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency and decision support.
– Strengthen financial governance, controls, and visibility across the portfolio.
– Support change initiatives related to cost and workforce reporting.
