## About the Role
At Teradata, this senior product leadership role is based in India and is responsible for setting the strategy, roadmap, and execution for critical AI and data platform capabilities. The position operates with a high degree of autonomy and serves as the primary product voice in the region, working closely with global engineering and product leaders.
The scope covers Fabric, AI & Data Governance, and Capacity & Cost Intelligence. The role is designed to turn customer and market insight into scalable platform capabilities that support adoption, platform usage, and customer trust. It also includes mentoring and coaching product managers across the India team to raise product management standards.
## Key Responsibilities
– Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for Fabric, AI & Data Governance, and Capacity & Cost Intelligence.
– Conduct customer and market discovery to identify high-value problems and translate them into scalable platform capabilities.
– Define product requirements, user stories, and success metrics that help engineering deliver with speed and clarity.
– Drive alignment across Engineering, Architecture, Go-to-Market, Pricing, and Customer Success.
– Represent India as the senior product leader within a globally distributed organization.
– Mentor and coach product managers across India and improve the quality of product management practices and artifacts.
## Required Skills
– 12+ years of product management experience, including significant exposure to enterprise data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML tooling.
– Proven track record of owning complex product portfolios end to end, from strategy through execution and iteration.
– Strong technical depth in modern data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, streaming, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
– Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and build alignment in global, matrixed organizations.
– Experience mentoring or coaching product managers and improving team-wide product management capability.
## Preferred Skills
– Expertise in data governance, FinOps, or platform instrumentation and analytics.
– Familiarity with Collibra, Alation, Apache Atlas, or cloud cost management frameworks.
– Knowledge of open data formats such as Iceberg, Delta, and Hudi.
– Exposure to cloud-native analytics services.
– Understanding of enterprise SaaS/PaaS business models, including consumption-based pricing.
– Exposure to AI/ML platform components such as MLOps, feature stores, or LLM infrastructure.
– Experience operating within large-scale engineering centers in India.
– Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
– MBA preferred.
