# FinOps Manager (AI & Token Economics Focus)
**Location:** Bangalore
## About the Role
This role is responsible for building and running the FinOps function behind Wild’s cloud and AI transformation. As autonomous agents and cloud workloads scale, the need for disciplined cost management increases across infrastructure, AI usage, and vendor commitments.
You will own the financial visibility, governance, and optimisation of GCP, Snowflake, and AI token consumption. The role works closely with engineering, cloud operations, finance, procurement, and business stakeholders to keep spend controlled, forecastable, and tied to measurable outcomes.
The objective is to establish strong cost accountability across teams and workloads, supported by clear reporting, budgeting, chargeback/showback, and ROI analysis.
## Key Responsibilities
– Build and operate Wild’s FinOps practice, including processes, tooling, KPIs, governance, and reporting.
– Monitor and manage spend across GCP services, AI/Agent Builder, Snowflake credits, and token usage.
– Own cloud billing setup and cost allocation structures, including budgets, alerts, exports, labelling/tagging, and hierarchy design.
– Deliver dashboards and reports covering actual vs. budget, spend drivers, and usage spikes using GCP-native tools and third-party FinOps platforms.
– Lead infrastructure cost optimisation initiatives such as rightsizing, autoscaling, scheduling, idle-resource cleanup, storage tiering, and commitment coverage.
– Govern AI token economics by tracking model usage, token consumption, and unit costs.
– Manage commitment and contract economics, including committed-spend tracking, burn-down, and cloud marketplace procurement evaluation.
– Build forecasts, financial models, TCO analysis, and ROI cases for services, agents, and major workloads.
– Run chargeback/showback processes and reconcile allocations with Finance.
– Define and track FinOps KPIs, forecast accuracy, tagging compliance, and anomaly detection controls.
– Partner with engineering, cloud operations, finance, procurement, and business teams to improve cost visibility and investment decisions.
## Required Skills
– 5+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or technology finance.
– Hands-on experience establishing and running a FinOps practice.
– Strong experience managing GCP spend with native tools and third-party FinOps/cost-management platforms.
– Solid understanding of cloud cost drivers and optimisation levers.
– Understanding of LLM and AI cost drivers, including tokens, model tiers, inference, embeddings, and data processing.
– Experience with cloud commitment economics, TCO analysis, and financial modelling.
– Strong experience with cloud billing data, chargeback/cross-charging, cost models, dashboards, and ROI/unit-economics analysis.
– Familiarity with Snowflake consumption/credit economics, tagging/labelling, cost-allocation hierarchies, and resource governance.
– Ability to influence stakeholders across IT, finance, and business.
– Strong communication skills in both technical and non-technical settings.
– Strong commercial acumen and the ability to work independently.
## Preferred Skills
– FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent.
– GCP cost-management or Google Cloud Digital Leader certification.
– Financial qualification such as accounting or finance.
– Hands-on experience with GCP billing exports, BigQuery-based cost analysis, and third-party FinOps tooling.
– Experience governing both cloud infrastructure and AI/ML workload costs, ideally in CPG, retail, or consumer brands.
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a technical discipline.
