# Cost Assurance Analyst / Manager

## About the Role
JioStar is hiring a finance professional for its Cost Assurance team in Mumbai. The role focuses on accurate accounting, timely financial close, cost control, reconciliations, reporting, and process improvement.
This position works across finance and business stakeholders to support month-end, quarter-end, and annual closure activities. It also plays a key role in expense recognition, invoice governance, provisioning, and financial reporting.
The role is suited to someone who can combine strong accounting fundamentals with stakeholder management, analysis, and process discipline.
## Key Responsibilities
– Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities in line with accounting policies and timelines.
– Prepare, review, and post accrual journal entries to support accurate expense recognition.
– Monitor cost provisioning and maintain completeness and accuracy of financial records.
– Review and clear aged accruals, GR/IR balances, and other outstanding accounting items.
– Manage invoice processing end to end, including internal controls and approval workflows.
– Track invoice status and work with business and commercial teams to resolve processing issues.
– Ensure expenses are documented and accounted for correctly.
– Perform Related Party Transaction (RPT) reconciliations and reporting.
– Complete periodic TDS and GST reconciliations and coordinate issue resolution with tax teams.
– Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
– Prepare monthly and quarterly MIS reports for management review.
– Carry out variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
– Highlight key business drivers and risks to stakeholders.
– Partner with FP&A on accrual planning, provisioning, and reporting.
– Work with Commercial, Procurement, and Business teams to support invoice processing and cost governance.
– Act as a finance point of contact for cost-related queries and reporting needs.
– Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase automation.
– Support dashboard development, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
– Strengthen internal controls and standardize processes across activities.
– Support audits, management reviews, system implementations, and other special projects as needed.
## Required Skills
– CA Inter or MBA in Finance.
– 7–10 years of relevant experience in Record-to-Report (R2R), Cost Assurance, Financial Control, or Management Accounting.
– Strong understanding of accounting principles, accrual accounting, and financial reporting.
– Hands-on experience with month-end and quarter-end close activities.
– Knowledge of GST, TDS, and reconciliation processes.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
– Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent.
– Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
– Experience in MIS reporting, variance analysis, and stakeholder management.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
– Strong communication and business partnering skills.
## Preferred Skills
– Experience in media, entertainment, FMCG, telecom, technology, or large corporate environments.
– Exposure to automation tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, VBA, or similar technologies.
