## About the Role
This position is responsible for the commercial management of cloud and XaaS services, with a focus on SaaS and PaaS solutions in Azure and AWS. The role exists to further develop the FinOps framework and improve transparency, cost control, and economic efficiency across cloud services.
You will work closely with IT, procurement, controlling, and business teams to build sustainable strategies for sourcing, using, and managing cloud services. A key part of the role is to analyze cloud spend and usage data, identify cost drivers, and derive measures that improve efficiency.
The position also supports cloud contract development, evaluates cost and compliance risks, and prepares decision-making materials for management. In addition, you will help drive automation and digitalization in the FinOps environment using reporting and workflow tools.
## Key Responsibilities
– Manage the commercial oversight of cloud and XaaS services, especially SaaS and PaaS on Azure and AWS
– Further develop the FinOps framework
– Plan, monitor, and optimize cloud costs, budgets, and commitments
– Analyze cloud spending and usage data to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities
– Work with IT, procurement, controlling, and business units on cloud sourcing and governance strategies
– Develop governance, KPI, and reporting structures for cloud cost, utilization, and value transparency
– Support cloud contract design and assess cost and compliance risks
– Prepare management-ready analyses and decision materials
– Automate analyses and processes using reporting, workflow, and AI-supported tools
## Required Skills
– Degree in business informatics, business administration, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification
– Alternatively, commercial-technical training with experience in an IT, cloud, or finance environment
– Interest in FinOps, cloud cost management, and financial relationships
– Basic understanding of cloud and XaaS models, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
– Strong analytical thinking and a high affinity for numbers, data, and digital tools
– Interest in regulatory requirements in a financial or insurance environment
– Strong communication skills, initiative, and enjoyment of cross-functional collaboration
