# Project Manager (FinOps)

## About the Role
This role leads technology projects focused on FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and governance. Its purpose is to improve financial visibility, resource efficiency, and decision-making across technology initiatives.
The position sits at the intersection of project management, cloud platforms, finance, and technology teams. It supports optimization opportunities, monitors project performance, and helps keep costs, priorities, and business objectives aligned.
This is a remote opportunity open to candidates across Brazil. Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a lunch break from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
## Key Responsibilities
– Manage IT projects focused on FinOps practices, ensuring delivery against scope, deadlines, quality standards, and financial objectives.
– Review cloud cost dashboards, consumption alerts, and budget deviations across multicloud environments on a daily basis.
– Track FinOps initiatives, prioritize work based on financial impact and deadlines, and coordinate improvement actions.
– Monitor schedules, risks, dependencies, and deliverables while keeping teams aligned.
– Identify resource optimization opportunities and set priorities for cost-reduction initiatives.
– Present cost indicators, savings opportunities, forecasts, budget variances, and financial insights to stakeholders and leadership.
– Support technology investment decisions through cost, benefit, and optimization analysis.
– Ensure compliance with FinOps governance policies, processes, and best practices.
– Monitor risks that may affect project cost, timeline, or quality, and address blockers and conflicts proactively.
– Work with cloud providers, partners, finance teams, and internal stakeholders on projects and commercial opportunities.
– Review proposals, contracts, and financial commitments to identify efficiencies and cost improvements.
– Prepare executive presentations, consolidate financial indicators, and support reporting activities.
– Lead process audits, contribute to continuous improvement, and share FinOps knowledge with teams.
– Research new technologies, methodologies, and processes related to cloud financial management and project optimization.
– Analyze business and technical requirements to support effective project execution.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree completed in Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
– Experience managing financial operations in multicloud environments, including Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and Oracle OCI.
– Strong knowledge of FinOps concepts, practices, and financial governance models.
– Experience monitoring cloud costs, consumption patterns, budgets, and optimization opportunities.
– Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools.
– Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
– Ability to read and interpret process mappings and operational workflows.
– Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate financial and technical information clearly.
– Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
– Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with different teams, and work independently.
– Knowledge of financial operations, cloud governance, and technology cost management.
## Preferred Skills
– Experience with FinOps solutions such as IBM Cloudability and Turbonomic.
