## About the Role
This role sits within Blue Yonder’s FinOps team and focuses on improving cloud cost visibility, optimization, and software asset management across the organization. It combines financial analysis, Azure cost management, and reporting with support for licensing and renewal processes.
The position works closely with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and IT to turn usage and consumption data into practical recommendations. It also supports margin analysis, forecasting, and opportunities to apply AI and automation across FinOps and software asset management workflows.
## Key Responsibilities
– Analyze Azure usage and spend data to support cost allocation, anomaly detection, and optimization efforts.
– Build and maintain automated reports and dashboards covering cost, margin, and utilization metrics.
– Use AI and machine learning approaches to improve anomaly detection, forecast cloud spend, and surface optimization opportunities.
– Review cognitive product margins and contribute data-backed recommendations to improve gross margin.
– Maintain the software asset inventory, including licenses, entitlements, and consumption tracking.
– Manage the third-party software renewal calendar and coordinate timely, cost-effective renewals.
– Identify and prototype AI-enabled automation opportunities in contract analysis, license reconciliation, and spend alerting.
– Partner with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and IT on cloud optimization and software contract management.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
– 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, cloud cost management, software asset management, or a related role.
– Proficiency in SQL and Excel.
– Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools.
– Understanding of software licensing models, including SaaS, subscription, consumption-based, and perpetual models.
– Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present findings to both finance and non-finance audiences.
## Preferred Skills
– Python experience.
– Hands-on experience with Azure cost management tools, Databricks, or Power BI.
– Experience applying AI/ML to financial analysis, anomaly detection, or automation workflows.
– Experience in enterprise SaaS, cloud technology, or the supply chain industry.
