Role: Cloud FinOps
Job Description
:Cloud cost observability including cost trends, cost forecasts and variance analysis
Analyse cloud spends and resource utilization for savings opportunities and reduction of wastage
Recommending best practices for cloud resource provisioning, sizing, licensing options and pricing models
Drive cloud cost efficiency and optimization initiative
Collaboration with Application, Operations and Business teams for understanding the application setup and communicating cost optimization opportunities
Cloud cost allocation to different Tech and Business team
Negotiating and concluding cloud service agreements with cloud providers as per Bank’s standard terms
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in FinOps space

Note: These activities are across all 4 cloud platforms being used by Bank, i.e. Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Minimum Qualifications: Chartered Accounts preferably
Technology background
Ability to accumulate, organise, assimilate and reconcile large amount of data
Problem solving skills, analytical skills
Decent communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications: Well versed with MS-Excel and MS-Word
Fundamental certifications in cloud platforms would be preferred
Familiarity with FinOps practices and frameworks
Basic understanding of detailed billing reports from cloud providers
Knowledge of cloud services, pricing models and consumption management
