# Senior IT Performance / Process Improvement Professional
*Remote | Full-time (40 hours/week) | Base pay: $89,000–$121,400 per year | Bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance | Occasional travel to Humana offices may be required*
## About the Role
Humana is seeking a senior-level professional to support cloud financial operations and FinOps activities. This role focuses on financial tracking, reporting, reconciliation, and process improvement to strengthen control over cloud-related spending.
The position partners across Finance, IT, Procurement, Vendor Management, and Cloud teams to align budgets, forecasts, contract commitments, and operating priorities. The objective is to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and governance of cloud financial management while giving leadership better visibility into spend trends and variances.
## Key Responsibilities
– Reconcile and analyze cloud financials against contract commitments, budgets, forecasts, and compliance requirements.
– Monitor Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Committed Use Discounts, and similar commitment-based purchasing models, and recommend optimization actions.
– Coordinate cloud service provider invoicing and purchase orders with Finance and Procurement.
– Build and maintain reporting, dashboards, and documentation for audits, management reviews, and leadership decisions.
– Identify opportunities to improve cloud cost management, vendor governance, and related operating processes.
– Work with Finance and IT to align cloud financial management goals with business priorities.
– Keep documentation, controls, and standard operating procedures current and followed.
– Improve forecasting accuracy, performance tracking, and reporting efficiency.
– Provide insights into cloud spend trends, commitments, and variances.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
– Progressive experience in performance/process improvement, financial operations, FinOps, cloud financial management, or a related discipline.
– Strong background in financial analysis, reporting, reconciliation, and budget tracking.
– Experience with cloud financial constructs such as Reserved Instances (RIs), Savings Plans, Committed Use Discounts (CUDs), or equivalent models.
– Demonstrated ability to improve processes, implement controls, and enhance reporting quality and operational efficiency.
– Experience partnering with Finance, IT, Procurement, and Vendor Management teams.
– Proficiency with Excel and other financial or business intelligence tools.
## Preferred Skills
– Experience supporting FinOps or cloud cost management across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
– Familiarity with cloud billing exports, invoicing workflows, purchase order processes, and audit support documentation.
– Experience with Cloudability or similar cloud financial management platforms.
– Experience developing executive-level reporting and dashboards.
– Relevant certifications in cloud, finance, or process improvement disciplines.
