## About the Role
This position sits within the Technology Business Office in the GTS Management division, supporting State Street’s ongoing migration of applications to the cloud. The role is focused on helping maintain financial visibility and control across multiple cloud environments.
You will work across finance, operations, IT, security, and compliance to improve how cloud spend is tracked, reported, and governed. The position also supports budgeting, forecasting, and analysis that help leaders make informed decisions and improve resource efficiency.
## Key Responsibilities
– Monitor cloud consumption costs and oversee spend across multiple cloud environments using FinOps tools.
– Build and maintain technology cost reporting and visualizations for leadership and key stakeholders, with an emphasis on automation and self-service.
– Develop budgets and forecasts using financial analysis, historical trends, market data, and business objectives.
– Analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
– Identify and implement cloud cost optimization and resource efficiency initiatives.
– Support compliance with financial policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards related to cloud spend.
– Help establish and maintain controls and governance processes to prevent unauthorized spending.
– Partner with security and compliance teams on cloud-related audit findings and remediation.
– Work closely with finance, operations, and IT teams to gather data, understand requirements, and support financial decisions.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Finance, or Accounting.
– Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.
## Preferred Skills
– 5+ years of combined experience in Cloud FinOps and Finance roles within a Fortune 500 or Fortune Global 500 company.
– Strong knowledge of cloud financial operations.
– Solid understanding of core FinOps Foundation principles and basic corporate accounting processes.
– Highly proficient in Excel.
– Experience with Power BI and cloud financial analytics/reporting tools.
– Experience building data ingestion, data catalog, and data analytics frameworks.
– Experience with AWS, Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
– Experience creating cost and savings dashboards for executive reporting.
– Knowledge of allocation methodologies for distributing shared services.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
– Ability to build effective relationships across client organizations and with end users.
– Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking.
– Comfortable working in a lean, agile, fast-paced environment.
– Able to learn new concepts and technologies quickly.

## FinOps Responsibilities

## Compensation
– $90,000 – $157,500 annually
– The stated range applies to the primary location and may differ for other locations
