We are looking for a
Senior Financial Analyst, Cloud Infrastructure
to drive financial visibility, forecasting, and cost optimization across our cloud and infrastructure footprint. You will partner closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, Product & GTM leaders to understand usage drivers, translate technical decisions into financial outcomes, and ensure we scale infrastructure efficiently and with discipline.
This role reports to the Manager, R&D Finance & Strategy and can be based anywhere in the US.
In this role, you can expect to:
Own end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of cloud spend across multiple cloud and AI vendors, identifying usage trends and areas for optimization and efficiency gains
Build and maintain detailed bottoms-up financial models for cloud infrastructure spend, including long-range forecasts, cost driver analyses, and investment scenario modeling
Partner with Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to design and execute cloud cost optimization initiatives, including savings plans strategies and resource right-sizing
Support contract negotiations through scenario modeling of cloud usage, pricing, and discount structure
Build and maintain cloud & AI unit economics reporting and forecasting including cost allocation models that connect cloud cost impact to product roadmap
Improve tools, data pipelines, and automation (ETL, APIs, ML forecasting models) that enhance cloud financial management and spend prediction
Develop dashboards, automated reporting, and executive-level reviews to track cloud spend, efficiency metrics, and KPIs
You are a good fit if you have:
At least 5 years of experience in strategic finance roles at high-growth software companies
Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills with proven accuracy in managing Hosting budget vs actuals
Proficiency with dashboard building, data modeling, financial reporting
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
Worked asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team
You’ll have an edge if you have:
3+ years of experience managing cloud cost and/or partnering closely with Engineering teams
Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP billing tools (Cost Explorer, CUR, Budgets)
Strong understanding of cloud pricing models and cost drivers
Experience working with BI Tools such as Omni
Knowledge of SQL or willingness to learn
FinOps Foundation professional certifications (e.g., FinOps Certified Professional/Practitioner/Engineer)

We offer competitive compensation packages commensurate with experience, including salary, equity, and where applicable, performance-based pay. In select locations (including Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC, and Seattle), an alternate range may apply, as specified below.
The typical starting salary range for this role is:
$99,000 – $120,600 USD
The typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed is:
$111,000 – $134,000 USD
