# Principal Technology Business Management (TBM) Analyst

## About the Role
The Principal TBM Analyst leads technology and transformation financial management, investment governance, and value realization across Technology Solutions, Digital, Data & Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
This role establishes the frameworks, processes, reporting, and operating models needed to improve cost transparency, investment accountability, portfolio performance, and measurable business value. The position partners with executive leadership, Finance, and transformation leaders to align investments with organizational priorities.
The analyst provides enterprise oversight of investment portfolios, benefits realization, return on investment, financial planning, and portfolio optimization. This role also delivers executive-level insights and recommendations to support investment decisions, resource stewardship, and long-range planning.
## Key Responsibilities
– Lead the enterprise TBM and IT financial management strategy, governance framework, and operating model.
– Establish standards for service costing, benchmarking, cost transparency, investment accountability, and value realization.
– Partner with Finance and Technology leaders on funding, budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, and cost management.
– Advance chargeback, showback, financial analytics, and technology cost optimization capabilities.
– Establish governance processes, decision criteria, and accountability models for technology and transformation investments.
– Facilitate executive governance forums supporting strategic investment and portfolio decisions.
– Lead benefits realization and value management programs covering cost savings, cost avoidance, productivity improvements, capacity creation, revenue enhancement, and strategic value.
– Develop executive scorecards, metrics, dashboards, and reporting on investment performance and benefits realization.
– Monitor portfolio financial health, performance, risk, strategic alignment, and value realization.
– Support annual planning, capital allocation, strategic investment decisions, and long-range financial planning.
– Lead financial management capabilities for AI, cloud, digital, product, and transformation portfolios.
– Deliver executive reporting and translate complex financial and operational information into actionable recommendations.
– Partner across Finance, Technology Solutions, Digital, Data & Analytics, Innovation, Operations, and Value Engineering.
– Lead and influence cross-functional teams while promoting accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and outcome-based decision-making.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, healthcare administration, information systems, or a related field.
– At least 10 years of progressive experience in Technology Business Management, financial management, strategic planning, transformation leadership, portfolio management, consulting, or a related discipline.
– Experience leading enterprise governance, investment management, portfolio oversight, or value realization programs.
– Experience developing business cases, return on investment methodologies, benefits realization frameworks, and executive reporting.
– Experience partnering directly with executive leadership on strategic investment and prioritization decisions.
– Strong understanding of technology cost structures, cloud economics, digital and AI investments, product funding models, and financial planning processes.
– Experience developing executive dashboards, performance metrics, and portfolio reporting.
– Demonstrated leadership, consulting, communication, and organizational skills.
## Preferred Skills
– Master’s degree.
– Healthcare industry experience.
– Experience supporting Digital, Data & Analytics, AI, Innovation, Technology Solutions, or enterprise transformation portfolios.
– Experience with Apptio, Power BI, ServiceNow, or comparable portfolio and financial management platforms.

– Establish AI financial management practices, including consumption forecasting, token management, AI return on investment, and chargeback models.
– Advance Cloud FinOps, cloud optimization, consumption governance, and cloud cost transparency.
– Develop sustainable budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, chargeback, showback, and cost management practices.
– Support product-based and outcome-based funding models, agile portfolio funding, and value stream economics.
– Improve technology cost transparency and optimize investment allocation across cloud, AI, digital, product, and transformation portfolios.
