# Principal Technology Business Management (TBM) Analyst

## About the Role
The Principal TBM Analyst will lead technology and transformation financial management, investment governance, and value realization across Technology Solutions, Digital, Data & Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
This role will establish frameworks, operating models, reporting, and governance processes that improve financial transparency, investment accountability, service costing, portfolio oversight, and measurable business value. The position supports initiatives within Transformation & AI and transformation budgets covering Technology and Digital.
Working closely with executive leadership, Finance, Technology, Digital, Data & Analytics, Innovation, Operations, and Value Engineering teams, the analyst will guide investment decisions, portfolio optimization, benefits realization, and return-on-investment measurement.
## Key Responsibilities
– Lead the enterprise TBM and IT financial management strategy, governance framework, and operating model.
– Establish sustainable practices for funding, budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, cost management, chargeback, and showback.
– Develop standards and decision criteria for evaluating, prioritizing, and monitoring technology and transformation investments.
– Facilitate executive governance forums supporting strategic investment and portfolio decisions.
– Oversee investment portfolio performance, financial health, risk, strategic alignment, and value realization.
– Develop business cases, executive scorecards, dashboards, performance metrics, and portfolio reports.
– Lead benefits realization programs covering cost savings, cost avoidance, productivity gains, capacity creation, revenue enhancement, and strategic value.
– Partner with Finance to validate financial outcomes and maintain consistent measurement and reporting.
– Support annual planning, capital allocation, strategic investment decisions, and long-range financial planning.
– Lead financial management capabilities for AI, cloud, digital, product, and transformation portfolios.
– Develop product-based, outcome-based, agile portfolio funding, and value-stream economics models.
– Translate complex financial and operational data into recommendations for executives, governance councils, and steering committees.
– Lead cross-functional teams while promoting accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and outcome-based decisions.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, healthcare administration, information systems, or a related field.
– At least 10 years of progressive experience in Technology Business Management, financial management, strategic planning, transformation leadership, portfolio management, consulting, or a related discipline.
– Experience leading enterprise governance, investment management, portfolio oversight, or value realization programs.
– Experience developing business cases, ROI methodologies, benefits realization frameworks, executive dashboards, performance metrics, and portfolio reporting.
– Experience partnering directly with executive leadership on strategic investment and prioritization decisions.
– Strong understanding of technology cost structures, cloud economics, digital and AI investments, product funding models, and financial planning.
– Demonstrated leadership, consulting, communication, and organizational skills.
## Preferred Skills
– Master’s degree.
– Healthcare industry experience.
– Experience supporting Digital, Data & Analytics, AI, Innovation, Technology Solutions, or enterprise transformation portfolios.
– Experience with Apptio, Power BI, ServiceNow, or comparable portfolio and financial management platforms.

## FinOps Responsibilities
– Advance Cloud FinOps, cloud optimization, consumption governance, and cloud cost transparency.
– Establish cloud consumption forecasting and financial management practices.
– Develop AI financial management processes, including token management, ROI measurement, and chargeback models.
– Improve cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, chargeback, and showback.
– Support product-based, outcome-based, and value-stream funding models.
