– **Experience:** 6+ years
– **Salary:** INR 30–50 LPA
## About the Role
This role is being hired to strengthen the engineering foundation during a period of rapid scale. The focus is to help teams move quickly without compromising stability, security, reliability, or cost efficiency.
The position sits across platform engineering, cloud architecture, DevOps, security, compliance, reliability, and developer experience. It is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can define platform direction, build reusable infrastructure, and act as a multiplier for engineering teams.
You will work closely with engineering and product stakeholders to align platform decisions with business goals, reduce operational complexity, and improve the overall developer experience.
## Key Responsibilities
### Platform & Cloud Architecture
– Own and evolve platform and cloud architecture across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
– Build reusable platform patterns instead of one-off infrastructure solutions.
– Develop and scale Internal Developer Platforms, including self-service environments, golden paths, paved roads, standardized templates, and engineering guardrails.
– Lead Kubernetes and cloud-native platform adoption at scale.
– Drive infrastructure automation using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
### CI/CD, Reliability & Developer Experience
– Establish strong CI/CD practices with automated quality gates and deployment readiness checks.
– Improve testing, automation, deployment safety, and release confidence.
– Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, golden signals, and incident response practices.
– Reduce operational toil and improve developer productivity through platform improvements.
– Build scalable, cost-efficient observability systems using Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic.
– Enable teams to integrate observability into their applications and services.
### Security, Privacy & Compliance
– Apply security-by-default principles across infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
– Support readiness and implementation for ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type II, and DPDP Act compliance.
– Implement zero-trust security, least-privilege access, and secure data isolation.
– Drive governance, vulnerability management, and infrastructure security standards.
### FinOps & Optimization
– Improve cloud cost visibility and accountability across engineering teams.
– Implement FinOps practices including budgets, alerts, reporting, and optimization routines.
– Increase infrastructure efficiency and support build-vs-buy decisions using ROI-focused thinking.
### AI, Data & MLOps Foundations
– Enable scalable and secure AI/ML infrastructure foundations.
– Define infrastructure guardrails for AI workloads and sensitive data management.
### Leadership & Collaboration
– Partner with engineering and product teams to align platform and business priorities.
– Mentor engineers and guide teams through platform and infrastructure evolution.
– Lead long-term strategic work while staying execution-focused and pragmatic.
## Required Skills
– 6–8+ years of experience building and operating production-grade infrastructure and cloud platforms.
– Experience scaling infrastructure in high-growth or regulated environments.
– Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and cloud-native ecosystems.
– Experience with service mesh and policy engines.
– Strong experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure.
– Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
– Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and GitOps workflows.
– Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic.
– Ability to read and contribute to systems written in Go, Python, or Node.js.
– Practical experience implementing ISO 27001 and SOC 2 security controls.
– Strong understanding of privacy, data protection, and access control mechanisms.
