Are you passionate about building observability platforms that transform how enterprises understand, monitor, and optimize their digital ecosystems? We’re seeking an exceptional Senior Platform Manager to lead Service Management and Observability platforms.
The observability landscape is experiencing a revolution. Organisations are moving beyond traditional monitoring to fullstack observability, leveraging AI driven insights, distributed tracing, and real-time analytics to achieve visibility into complex, cloud native environments.
You’ll be working with cutting-edge observability technology:
Splunk Observability Cloud: Deploy advanced APM, infrastructure monitoring, and real-user monitoring capabilities that provide end-to-end visibility across microservices architectures.
OpenTelemetry integration: Champion vendor neutral telemetry standards and build unified observability pipelines.
AI powered insights: Leverage Splunk machine learning capabilities for anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and automated incident correlation.
Service dependency mapping: Create dynamic topology views that reveal hidden dependencies and performance bottlenecks across distributed systems.
The Opportunity:
As Platform Manager, you’ll own the strategic direction and operational excellence of platforms that sit at the heart of the technology ecosystem. You’ll shape how users interact with critical enterprise systems while building a high-performing team of approximately 8 engineers.
Current exciting initiatives in this space include:
Unified observability strategies: Breaking down silos between logs, metrics, traces, and user experience data.
AIOps implementation: Deploying intelligent alerting that reduces noise and accelerates incident response.
FinOps for observability: Optimising telemetry data ingestion and retention to maximise value while controlling costs.
Connecting business KPIs directly to infrastructure performance and user experience metrics.
Automated remediation: Building closed loop systems that detect, diagnose, and resolve issues autonomously.
