# Job Description: Financial Operations Analyst
## About the Role
In this high-visibility position, you will play a key role in the consolidation, analysis, and reporting of financial and operational data for the global Fittings & Fixtures Operations division. The role involves close collaboration with teams in Procurement, R&D, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to ensure accurate month-end execution, reliable forecasting inputs, and a strong foundation of data for strategic decision-making. You will be part of an international and improvement-driven environment, working with teams located in Germany, the US, Mexico, China, and Europe.
Your contributions will enhance financial transparency and support cost optimization in a complex matrix organization across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. This role will provide valuable experience and opportunities for professional development within the organization.
## Key Responsibilities
– **Data Consolidation**: Prepare and maintain monthly reporting packages for global Operations.
– **Procurement Analysis**: Monitor prices of raw materials, components, and finished goods, and track savings in procurement.
– **Month-End Close**: Create accruals and deferrals, calculate foreign exchange impacts, conduct analyses, and prepare management presentations.
– **Freight & Cost Review**: Analyze inbound and inter-unit freight variances to identify optimization opportunities.
– **Forecasting & Budgeting**: Collect and align financial inputs from various teams including plants and procurement.
– **Standard Costing**: Assist in annual standard cost-setting and maintain relevant master data and system parameters.
– **System Support**: Aid in the rollout and maintenance of automated reporting systems.
– **Cross-Border Collaboration**: Act as an extension of the headquarters to ensure transparent and efficient workflows.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Controlling, or Business Administration.
– 1–3 years of experience in controlling (operations, plant, business, or financial controlling).
– Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
– Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and accounting principles.
– Familiarity with SAP (MM/FI) and BI tools (SAP BW, IBM Planning Analytics) is a plus.
– Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
– Strong teamwork orientation and cultural competence.
– Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
