Our client is seeking an
IT FinOps Analyst
to lead cloud financial management initiatives and optimize cloud investment strategies across the organization. This individual will partner closely with Finance, IT leadership, engineering teams, and vendors to analyze AWS cloud spend, improve forecasting, and drive cost optimization efforts while balancing performance, scalability, and business objectives. This is a hybrid position based in Westchester County, NY.
Starting at $105,000/year.
IT FinOps Analyst’s Responsibilities And Duties
Analyze AWS cloud cost and usage data to identify trends, variances, cost drivers, and optimization opportunities
Design and manage cloud savings strategies, including Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and vendor commitment programs
Build financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support cloud investment planning and budgeting
Track benefits realization and provide reporting on cloud cost optimization initiatives
Advise senior leadership on cloud investment decisions, balancing cost, risk, and operational performance
IT FinOps Analyst’s Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred
At least 4 years of experience in cloud financial management or IT financial management
Strong hands-on experience analyzing AWS cloud cost and usage data
Proven experience managing cloud savings strategies, including Savings Plans and Reserved Instances
Strong analytical, forecasting, and financial modeling skills
