# FinOps Manager

## About the Role

A Budapest-based technology organization is establishing a new FinOps Manager position to improve the transparency, control, and optimization of IT and cloud expenditure.

The role will shape FinOps processes, governance frameworks, and financial controls across a complex international environment. It offers substantial autonomy, decision-making authority, and strategic visibility within the organization.

You will work closely with leaders in Controlling, IT, Infrastructure, and business functions. Your work will support informed business decisions, improve cost efficiency, and establish a more structured financial operating model.

## Key Responsibilities

– Analyze, monitor, and optimize IT and cloud costs.
– Develop FinOps processes, governance frameworks, and financial control mechanisms.
– Monitor and forecast Azure, AWS, SaaS, and other infrastructure costs.
– Design and improve cost allocation, chargeback, and showback models.
– Identify and implement cost-reduction and efficiency-improvement opportunities.
– Prepare business reports, analyses, and presentations in English.
– Collaborate with Controlling, IT, Infrastructure, and business leaders.

## Required Skills

– At least 5 years of experience in IT Finance, FinOps, Controlling, IT Governance, or a related field.
– Strong working knowledge of cloud services, including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
– Experience developing financial models, dashboards, and automated solutions for cost analysis and anomaly detection.
– Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana.
– Experience with Python, SQL, or PowerShell.
– Strong financial and business acumen.
– Ability to establish processes independently and structure an evolving operating model.
– Confident English communication and presentation skills.
– Ability to work through complex problems and investigate underlying details.

## FinOps Responsibilities

– Analyze, track, forecast, and optimize cloud and IT expenditure.
– Establish FinOps processes and cost governance frameworks.
– Develop financial controls for cloud and infrastructure spending.
– Create and enhance cost allocation, chargeback, and showback models.
– Identify and implement cloud cost-reduction opportunities.
– Produce financial reporting and analysis to support business decisions.
– Detect cost anomalies through dashboards and automated solutions.
