# Financial Operations Manager (FinOps)

## About the Role

This full-time remote role focuses on cloud financial operations, with responsibility for improving spend efficiency, financial accountability, and infrastructure cost control across Scry AI’s platforms. The position exists to align cloud investment with business priorities while supporting more efficient operations.

You will work closely with engineering, DevOps, finance, and leadership teams to improve cost visibility, governance, and forecasting. The role combines cloud cost management with financial planning and operational oversight.

The position is suited to someone with experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, cloud operations, or IT finance.

## Key Responsibilities

– Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure spend across platforms.
– Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve resource utilization.
– Implement cost optimization measures without affecting performance.
– Build cloud budgets, forecasts, and spending models.
– Track actual spend against budget and provide variance analysis.
– Support planning for infrastructure growth and scaling.
– Define cloud governance policies and cost management frameworks.
– Ensure accurate cost allocation, tagging, and chargeback practices.
– Promote financial accountability within engineering teams.
– Prepare reports and dashboards on usage, spend, and optimization opportunities.
– Share actionable insights to support strategic decisions.
– Drive adoption of FinOps principles and best practices.
– Improve cloud financial management processes and workflows.
– Stay current on cloud pricing models and optimization approaches.

## Required Skills

– Experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, cloud operations, or IT finance roles.
– Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
– Experience with cloud cost management, budgeting, and forecasting.
– Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
– Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and reporting tools.
