We are seeking a motivated
Junior FinOps Analyst
with a background in finance/accounting and a passion for technology to join our growing FinOps team. This role is ideal for someone eager to bridge finance and cloud technology, supporting cost optimization, system administration, and process improvements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial accountability and efficiency in cloud spending.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management & Analysis
Assist in cost allocation, chargeback/showback processes, and financial reporting.
Analyze cloud and IT spend data to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
Prepare regular financial reports and dashboards for stakeholders
Provide basic recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
Support budget planning and forecasting for cloud expenses
Support administration of FinOps tools (e.g., Cloudability)
Process Improvement
Document current workflows and identify areas for automation and improvement
Support in business analysis and defining technical requirements
Assist in the implementation of FinOps best practices and frameworks
Project Support
Assist in cross-departmental projects to align cloud usage with financial goals.
Track project milestones and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Participate in training programs and pursue relevant certifications
Minimum Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a tech-focused financial role.
Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS)
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Curiosity about cloud technology and willingness to learn FinOps frameworks (training provided) and public cloud services
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
