## About the Role
This Cost Optimization Analyst – FinOps role sits within ASML’s Digital Foundation Solutions Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) US team. The position exists to improve cloud financial operations across public and private cloud environments, with a focus on cost transparency, financial accountability, and resource optimization.
You will work closely with technical, financial, and business stakeholders to manage hybrid cloud spend, identify savings opportunities, and support better decision-making across the organization. The role also contributes to forecasting, reporting, and broader cloud cost management efforts.
The position is based on-site in San Diego, CA and requires in-person attendance for events, training, and meetings. A flexible arrangement of up to two remote days per week may be available where the role allows. The work environment includes a clean room setting and requires PPE such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves. Standard physical requirements include sitting, walking, speaking, hearing, keyboard use, reaching, crouching, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds, along with specific vision capabilities.
## Key Responsibilities
– Manage hybrid cloud spend across private cloud lifecycle management and public cloud workload management.
– Administer Flexera as the cloud cost monitoring tool and maintain accurate cost data at billing and workload levels.
– Analyze cloud usage and provide optimization recommendations based on data insights and best practices.
– Produce monthly reports and dashboards covering cloud cost, utilization, and performance metrics.
– Build forecasting models to project future cloud spend.
– Lead stakeholder sessions, including onboarding for new cost managers, cost center owners, and cost owners.
– Align activities with the broader Cloud Cost Management Community.
– Organize knowledge-sharing efforts to close cloud financial knowledge gaps.
## Required Skills
– 5+ years of FinOps experience, with a focus on cloud financial management.
– Hands-on experience with Azure or GCP.
– Experience with cloud cost management tools.
– Strong understanding of cloud pricing models and commitment management.
– Ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
– Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
– Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences and provide constructive feedback.
– Ability to work independently and take ownership.

– Deep technical knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost management.
