# Cloud Operations Engineer (Azure & AWS)

## About the Role

This position sits within a Platform Engineering team that provides reliable, observable, and compliant cloud foundations for a regulated financial environment.

The role focuses on operating, securing, and improving multi-cloud environments across Azure and AWS. It combines cloud operations, SRE, security, and FinOps responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on platform stability and regulatory requirements.

The main objective is to keep production environments available, scalable, secure, and cost-aware while supporting the needs of a financial-sector organization.

## Key Responsibilities

– Run and scale Azure environments, including AKS and App Service, as well as AWS environments, including EKS, ECS, and RDS.
– Define and monitor SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.
– Manage P1 and P2 incidents on-call and deliver post-mortems.
– Build and evolve GitOps-based infrastructure-as-code pipelines using Terraform and Bicep.
– Embed security checks into delivery pipelines, including SAST, DAST, container scanning, and secret management.
– Drive FinOps practices, including rightsizing, reserved instance usage, and cost reporting by business unit.
– Maintain compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and GDPR/RGPD requirements.

## Required Skills

– Bac+5 in IT, Networks, or Cloud.
– Strong expertise with AKS, App Service, Azure DevOps, and Bicep.
– Solid experience with EKS, Lambda, and CDK.
– Strong command of Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry.
– Experience working in a regulated environment.

## Preferred Skills

– Certifications such as AZ-104/305, AWS SAA/SAP, CKA, or Terraform Associate.
– Experience in regulated environments involving DORA, ACPR, or PCI-DSS.
