## About the Role

The Cloud FinOps Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and optimising cloud spend across a multi-cloud environment. The role exists to help the organisation manage technology consumption in a cost-effective way while improving cost transparency, budgeting, forecasting, and governance.

This position works closely with engineering, architecture, finance, procurement, and business stakeholders. It supports decision-making by providing financial insights, detailed analysis, and recommendations that help balance innovation, scalability, and responsible cloud usage.

A key part of the role is driving cost accountability across cloud platforms. The analyst also acts as an advisor and educator to technology teams, helping embed FinOps practices into day-to-day operations.

## Key Responsibilities

– Monitor, analyse, and optimise cloud expenditure across a multi-cloud environment.
– Provide cost transparency, financial insights, budgeting support, and forecasting.
– Identify cloud cost optimisation opportunities and support implementation of improvements.
– Promote consumption accountability and FinOps best practices across cloud platforms.
– Produce executive reporting, detailed financial analysis, business cases, forecasts, and recommendations.
– Support strategic planning, budgeting, and continuous cost improvement initiatives.
– Advise and educate technology teams on financial accountability and cost optimisation.

## Required Skills

– Experience working with cloud expenditure in a multi-cloud environment.
– Knowledge of cloud pricing models.
– Experience with cost management tools.
– Understanding of financial reporting and operational processes.
– Ability to produce detailed financial analysis, forecasts, and business cases.
– Ability to work effectively with engineering, architecture, finance, procurement, and business stakeholders.
