# Cloud FinOps Analyst
Washington DC (Hybrid) | Full-Time | Top Secret Clearance Required
## About the Role
This role supports cloud financial management across AWS and OCI, with a focus on identifying cost anomalies, waste, and opportunities to improve spend efficiency.
The position works closely with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to turn usage analysis into practical optimization actions. It also supports budgeting, forecasting, monthly spend reviews, and cloud cost governance.
A key part of the role is improving visibility into cloud spending through dashboards, reporting, KPIs, and variance analysis. The work contributes to stronger FinOps processes and operating rhythms across the cloud environment.
## Key Responsibilities
– Review AWS and OCI usage, billing, and consumption trends to identify anomalies, waste, and optimization opportunities.
– Analyze cloud resources for rightsizing, idle or underused capacity, storage inefficiencies, data transfer costs, and licensing impacts.
– Recommend spend reduction actions, including reserved capacity, savings plans, commitment strategies, scheduling, tagging improvements, and architectural changes.
– Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs for cost visibility, budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
– Partner with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to prioritize and implement optimization initiatives.
– Monitor adherence to tagging, chargeback/showback, and cloud financial management policies.
– Support budgeting, monthly spend reviews, and forecast updates for cloud environments.
– Investigate billing discrepancies and usage spikes, and communicate root causes and remediation steps to stakeholders.
– Help advance FinOps processes, governance, and operating rhythms across AWS and OCI.
## Required Skills

– Ability to identify cloud cost anomalies, waste, and optimization opportunities.
– Experience developing dashboards, reports, KPIs, forecasts, and variance analysis.

– Understanding of cloud financial management practices, including tagging and chargeback/showback.
