The role
This is a senior, client-facing Client Principal (AWS) role focused exclusively on public sector and UK-cleared environments. You will own strategic AWS cloud transformation accounts within central government, defence, policing, and wider public sector organisations. Acting as the primary bridge between executive stakeholders and delivery teams, you will ensure successful AWS adoption, governance, and long-term account growth.
Your focus will be turning AWS technical delivery into measurable public sector outcomes, cost optimisation, security posture improvement, operational resilience, and faster digital service delivery.
Core Responsibilities
As the senior accountable owner for your AWS accounts, you will:
Own executive-level relationships within public sector clients
Lead post-sales AWS engagements across complex migration and transformation programmes
Develop structured account growth strategies in regulated environments
Oversee governance across multiple AWS workstreams (migration, modernisation, optimisation)
Manage financial performance (margin, forecasting, cost control)
Act as senior escalation point for programme risks
Deliver clear business value reporting and lead QBRs and roadmap planning
Position AWS-native solutions aligned to security, compliance, FinOps, and resilience requirements
Public Sector & Clearance Requirements (Essential)
You must:
Be eligible for UK Security Clearance
Hold British citizenship or ILR
Have lived in the UK for the past 5 years
Have no criminal or financial irregularities
Demonstrate experience working with UK public sector clients
Experience with G-Cloud, DOS frameworks, or public procurement processes is highly desirable.

Security and compliance frameworks (CIS, NCSC, ISO-aligned)
Cost optimisation and FinOps
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Container platforms (EKS)
DevOps automation pipelines
Cloud governance and resilience design
You will work closely with engineering, consulting, product, sales, and finance teams to ensure high-quality delivery and structured account expansion.
Ideal Background
Strong AWS knowledge (deep architectural understanding; hands-on not required)
Experience managing complex public sector cloud accounts
Delivery experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments
Executive reporting and value realisation experience
AWS certifications preferred
Strong understanding of public sector governance and procurement
Why Join
You’ll join a growing AWS consultancy delivering secure, high-impact transformation across the UK public sector.
