We are seeking an experienced Azure Operations Analyst with strong expertise in cloud networking and DevOps practices to support the implementation and optimization of our cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on hands-on engineering, deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization of Azure environments. This role requires proficiency in Azure services, network architecture, and modern DevOps methodologies.
The Azure Operations Analyst must report to our Shelton, CT office 3 days a week (Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s & Thursday’s). We are
not
accepting remote candidates at this time.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Deploy, manage, and maintain Azure resources including compute, storage, networking, and security components.
Implement cloud solutions using established standards, templates, and best practices.
Perform routine operational tasks such as patching, updates, configuration management, and environment maintenance.
Configure and support Azure networking solutions, including hub-spoke architectures, VNet peering, load balancers, and network security groups.
Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and reliability, and respond to operational incidents.
Troubleshoot infrastructure and networking issues across multi-region deployments and partner with application teams on resolution.
Support identity and access management through Azure AD and role-based access controls.
Assist with cost management, backups, disaster recovery processes, and operational documentation.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering and etc
2+ years of hands-on experience supporting and operating Microsoft Azure environments, including monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and routine operational maintenance of cloud infrastructure and services.
Proficiency with Azure services: Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, VPN Gateway, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, Traffic Manager, Front Door
Strong understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, IPSec, SSL/TLS
Experience with DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, Ansible
Strong scripting skills: PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, Bash
Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Compute Science of related field of study preferred
Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
Knowledge of Zero Trust security networking principles
Experience with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization
Familiarity with compliance frameworks: ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS
Experience with GitOps and progressive delivery strategies
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., sitting or standing) for extended periods of time, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
Frequent use of a computer, dual monitors, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment such as a telephone, copier, and printer.
Must be able to communicate effectively, including exchanging information in person, in writing, by telephone, email or video conferencing.
Visual and auditory acuity required to perform job duties effectively, including reading, writing, and interpreting information on screens or in print.
