The Role
Flutter Technology are recruiting a Financial Operations Analyst/Associate to support our finance, operations, and cloud engineering teams in monitoring and optimizing cloud costs. You will assist in tracking cloud expenditures, supporting cost optimization initiatives, and helping teams understand their cloud usage patterns across our AWS cloud platform that serves our leading brands.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop FinOps knowledge while contributing to cost management processes across our AWS Cloud Platform. As part of our “Cloud Enablement” function, you will support teams in adopting cloud services cost-effectively and help maintain financial visibility as we scale our operations.
The ideal candidate will develop FinOps skills in an enterprise environment and contribute to building mature cloud financial management practices.
What You’ll Be Doing
Monitoring cloud usage and spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities
Contribute towards our FinOps Community of Practice
Help develop and implement strategies to optimize cloud costs
Collaborating with finance, operations, and technology teams to drive cost optimization initiatives
Monitoring cloud finance budgets
Recommending changes to cloud service usage, pricing models, and purchasing options
Maintaining financial models to forecast and track cloud costs
BAU financial Cloud management
Creating reports and dashboards to track and communicate cloud cost optimization efforts to stakeholders
Collaborating with other divisional FinOps teams to promote shared & best practices
We’d Like You to Master In
Cloud & Technical Fundamentals: AWS knowledge (EC2, S3, RDS) and understanding of cloud pricing models
Proficiency in Excel (mandatory), basic SQL, and cost management tools like AWS Cost Explorer (desirable)
Financial management skills: Understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and cost analysis.
Ability to identify trends, variances, and anomalies in financial data
Data analysis & Reporting: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Clear communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across finance, engineering, and operations teams.
Stakeholder management skills to build relationships and influence without authority
Business & Industry Awareness: Understanding how cloud costs impact business outcomes and profitability.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and commercial drivers (desirable)
Learning Agility & Growth Mindset: Curiosity about new technologies and eagerness to develop FinOps expertise.
What You’ll Bring
Professional experience: in finance, operations, technology, or roles with data analysis components, and/or relevant educational background
Cloud platform familiarity: (AWS preferred) through work projects, training, or personal learning
Financial/commercial experience: including budgeting, cost tracking, financial reporting, or business metrics analysis
Analytical project work: demonstrating data analysis skills, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration
Enterprise software proficiency: with Excel, SQL and ideally exposure to BI tools and/or ERP systems
Relevant educational background: – Finance, Business, Technical, Analytical or Engineering focused education (Cloud certifications/financial qualifications beneficial)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills: with examples of stakeholder management and measurable business impact
