# Job Description: FinOps Specialist

## About the Role
As a FinOps Specialist at VINCI Energies Systèmes d’Information (VESI), you will play a crucial role in enhancing the financial management of our SAP environments. This position aims to make costs comprehensible, comparable, and manageable by collaborating with various teams including IT, Finance, and legal departments. Your primary objective will be to optimize economic performance by identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring continuous improvement in SAP usage.

You will structure and lead the FinOps approach for SAP, reporting directly to the Group’s CIO. Your responsibilities will include fostering collaboration among teams, providing actionable recommendations, and ensuring adherence to best practices in financial operations. The role serves as a vital connection between technology and finance, driving innovation and efficiency within our operations.

## Key Responsibilities
– Identify economic performance levers and cost optimization opportunities related to SAP environments.
– Collaborate with SAP teams to ensure continuous optimization of usage.
– Provide practical recommendations balancing performance, security, and cost efficiency in collaboration with DevOps, Permissions, and Cybersecurity teams.
– Animate and structure the SAP FinOps approach in alignment with group standards.
– Engage in FinOps management sessions, providing direct reports to the Group CIO.
– Prepare for the renewal of SAP contracts and promote best practices within IT and Finance teams.
– Stay updated with technological advancements in cloud and FinOps tools.

## Required Skills
– Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, finance, management, or engineering.
– Initial experience in IT, Cloud, or FinOps environments.
– Strong analytical skills for cost data analysis and reporting.
– Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and willingness to explore other management tools.
– Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach and ability to work in teams.
– Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
– Good understanding of SAP environments, including S/4 HANA and SAP BTP.

## Preferred Skills
– Knowledge of accounting principles.

## FinOps Responsibilities
– Facilitate cloud cost optimization and governance, including monitoring usage and managing budgets.
– Assist in developing comprehensive financial reporting metrics and KPIs.
– Promote cost allocation strategies and provide insights into the total cost of ownership for cloud solutions.
