# FinOps Analyst
## About the Role
Tecsys is seeking a detail-oriented FinOps Analyst to support the financial and operational management of its Product and Technology department.
The role focuses on analyzing financial and operational performance, developing forecasts and financial models, improving processes, and supporting cost management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial information and provide analysis for strategic decisions.
You will also contribute to financial governance, reporting, budgeting, business development initiatives, and investment planning within a technology and cloud services environment.
## Key Responsibilities
– Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and support strategic decision-making.
– Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts for planning and budgeting.
– Establish strategies, processes, models, and tools for managing IT costs.
– Evaluate and improve financial and operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
– Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management.
– Conduct financial analysis for business development and investment decisions.
– Support the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or an equivalent field, combined with relevant experience and a strong interest in accounting and finance; **or**
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent field, combined with relevant experience and a strong interest in IT, cloud technologies, and cloud service providers.
– An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
– At least one year of relevant experience as an IT or finance professional, including experience in IT management.
– Knowledge of IT infrastructure and public cloud service concepts.
– Understanding of cloud service billing practices and procedures.
– Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
– Strong interpersonal, consulting, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent written and spoken English for communication with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues outside Quebec.
## Preferred Skills
– AWS, Azure, and/or GCP certifications.
– FinOps Practitioner, Cloud Financial Management, Total Business Management, or equivalent certification.
– Experience in cloud computing.
– Experience with Power BI.
