# Cloud FinOps Analyst

## About the Role

Visa is hiring a Cloud FinOps Analyst to lead cloud and AI cost management across 10 entities, including Visa, as well as any additional M&A entities. The role focuses on improving cloud resource efficiency, identifying optimization opportunities, and tracking usage and spend across a broad cloud footprint.

You will work with M&A entity engineering and finance teams, along with Visa engineering, architecture, finance, and executive stakeholders, to implement optimizations and align on cloud and AI strategy and governance. The role also includes defining AI governance, including usage tracking, cost monitoring, efficiency analysis, and daily and monthly cost reporting.

This is a hybrid position. The in-office schedule will be confirmed by the hiring manager, with at least 3 days in office. Work hours vary based on department needs, travel is required 5–10% of the time, and applications are accepted until at least 08-21-2026.

## Key Responsibilities

– Analyze cloud and AI usage and cost trends, identify cost drivers, and recommend optimization actions.
– Lead resource optimization across compute, storage, database, and other cloud services, including right-sizing.
– Build and manage cloud budgets by account, project, cost center, and business unit, aligned to organizational OKRs.
– Develop and maintain financial models for cloud cost allocation.
– Forecast cloud and AI usage and spend for existing workloads and new projects, including migrations from on-premises datacenters to cloud.
– Monitor cloud and AI expenses in real time and respond to anomalies or budget variances.
– Produce recurring reports and dashboards for management and other stakeholders.
– Work with cloud service providers on pricing and contractual terms.
– Establish and enforce cloud and AI cost management policies, guidelines, and best practices.
– Track AI usage, cost drivers, and efficiency metrics, including daily and monthly reporting.
– Stay current on cloud services, industry trends, and pricing models.

## Required Skills

– 2+ years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.

## Preferred Skills

– 3+ years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree, or more than 2 years with an advanced degree such as a master’s, MBA, JD, or MD.
– Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
– 4+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably in a technology or cloud computing environment.
– 4+ years of cloud cost management and optimization experience in a similar role.
– Strong understanding of cloud pricing, cost structures, and billing models.
– Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
– Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
– Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
– Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
– Cloud FinOps certification or a related credential.
– Experience with cloud cost management tools.
– Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.

## FinOps Responsibilities

– Deliver daily and monthly reporting on costs and drivers.
– Right-size compute, storage, database, and other services.

– Build cloud cost allocation models.
– Forecast cloud and AI spend for existing workloads and new cloud migration initiatives.
– Monitor spend in real time and investigate anomalies or budget deviations.
– Support cloud and AI policy, guidelines, and best practices.
– Engage cloud service providers on pricing and contractual terms.
