Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, for a FinOps Trainee. The selected candidate will assist in implementing and optimizing financial operations processes, collaborate with teams for data analysis and insights, and support in preparing financial reports and cost management analysis. They will also contribute to resource allocation strategies, budgeting exercises, and ensure compliance with internal and external financial guidelines. This position offers a hands-on opportunity for growth in financial operations management with a focus on technology and cloud-based platforms.
Job Description
Assist in implementing and maintaining FinOps practices to optimize cloud financial operations.
Support the analysis of cloud usage and cost data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to ensure accurate cloud cost allocation and reporting.
Learn and apply FinOps principles, tools, and best practices under the guidance of senior team members.
Help develop dashboards and reports for monitoring cloud spend and resource utilization.
Participate in forecasting and budgeting activities related to cloud infrastructure.
Assist in automating cost management processes using scripts or cloud-native tools.
Research and recommend strategies for improving cost efficiency and governance in cloud environments.
Stay updated on cloud service pricing models and emerging FinOps technologies.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of financial operations, budgeting, and cost management practices
Ability to conduct data analysis and generate actionable insights
Understanding of cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is advantageous
Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in financial reporting tools and familiarity with ERP systems, especially Odoo, is beneficial
Attention to detail and an eagerness to learn and grow in the FinOps domain
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
Previous internship or experience in financial operations, while not mandatory, is a plus
