This role partners closely with manufacturing, applications, R&D, information security, regulatory, and leadership teams. It also supports infrastructure roadmaps, capacity planning, vendor evaluation, and operational planning across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and data storage.
## Key Responsibilities
– Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for infrastructure investments, including CapEx, OpEx, ROI, and cost optimization opportunities.
– Link infrastructure strategy to financial outcomes through multi-region budget oversight, variance management, and risk identification.
– Evaluate vendors, technology quotes, contracts, and service-level agreements to support reliable and cost-effective solutions.
– Coordinate and maintain infrastructure roadmaps across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and data storage.
– Partner with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure planning with business priorities and medical device lifecycle needs.
– Support capacity planning by identifying constraints, resource needs, bottlenecks, and scalability opportunities.
– Facilitate planning sessions, strategic workshops, and operating discussions around priorities, risks, metrics, and decisions.
– Identify and help mitigate IT risks related to cybersecurity, data integrity, downtime, business continuity, and compliance.
– Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, migrations, documentation, and audit-ready records.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 8–12 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 5–7 years of equivalent industry experience, or a PhD with 2–4 years of experience.
– Experience building cost models, budgets, forecasts, ROI analyses, and evaluating vendor quotes.
– Knowledge of core infrastructure areas, including virtualization, cloud platforms, networking, storage, and system reliability planning.
– Experience with vendor management, including assessments, performance reviews, contract input, and SLA management in a technical environment.
– Understanding of risk management and compliance expectations in regulated environments, including frameworks or requirements such as NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, or similar standards.
– Familiarity with manufacturing and enterprise systems such as MES, ERP, or Oracle EBS.
– Ability to communicate clearly, work effectively in a remote environment, and manage priorities with sound judgment in a fast-paced, compliance-driven setting.
