# FinOps Consultant

## About the Role

This role sits within Inetum’s Central FinOps team and is focused on driving FinOps activities for a product family. The position supports cloud financial management practices that help improve visibility, control, and optimization of cloud usage and spend.

The team provides both consulting and control over FinOps practices and activities for entities and product families. This includes reporting, advisory support, and the implementation of FinOps practices.

The role works closely with product teams and technical teams to help them optimize cloud usage while maintaining reliability and performance. It also contributes to broader governance across the department by promoting consistent FinOps methods and decision-making.

## Key Responsibilities

– Establish and manage cloud financial management practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
– Define and implement financial policies and controls for cloud operations.
– Monitor and report on cloud usage, costs, and performance.
– Work with product and technical teams to improve cloud efficiency without affecting reliability or performance.
– Design and operate a holistic FinOps framework that supports multi-domain governance.
– Promote cloud financial management best practices across department stakeholders.
– Support reporting, consulting, and implementation of FinOps practices for entities and product families.

## Required Skills

– Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
– Hands-on experience in cloud operations and/or financial management.
– Familiarity with cloud-based architectures.
– Familiarity with cloud provider tools.
– Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization systems and processes.
– Solid understanding of cloud-based application architectures.
– Strong knowledge of cloud-related technical and financial data used to analyze and optimize cloud usage.
– Ability to manage and allocate cloud resources and troubleshoot operational issues.
– Fluent English.

## Preferred Skills

– Experience in IT asset management.
– Experience in cost accounting.
– Certifications from cloud providers such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
