## About the Role

PrimeIT is hiring a Senior FinOps Expert to support cloud cost optimization and governance on an international project based in Lisbon. The role is focused on improving visibility into cloud spending, identifying inefficiencies, and helping the business manage cloud resources more effectively.

You will work closely with engineering, architecture, and finance teams to analyze usage patterns, support budgeting and forecasting, and uncover opportunities to reduce cloud costs. The position is suited to someone who can combine technical cloud knowledge with financial analysis and stakeholder coordination.

The role requires experience in FinOps or cloud financial management, along with familiarity with major cloud providers and cloud billing models. It also calls for strong reporting capabilities and the ability to work with cost management tools and business stakeholders.

## Key Responsibilities

– Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud costs and resource usage.
– Support budgeting, forecasting, and cloud cost optimization initiatives.
– Build reports and dashboards to track cloud spend, trends, and cost anomalies.
– Partner with engineering, architecture, and finance teams to identify savings opportunities.

## Required Skills

– Experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or cloud cost optimization.
– Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud, including billing models.
– Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
– Experience with cloud cost management tools such as IBM Cloudability.
– Strong analytical skills.
– Strong financial acumen.
– Strong stakeholder management skills.
