# Operations Financial Analyst

## About the Role
We are seeking an Operations Financial Analyst to become a part of our Finance team. ## Key Responsibilities
– **Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)**
– Assist with annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes.
– Conduct monthly variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) with detailed commentary on key drivers.
– Create and maintain financial models to assess revenue, cost, and margin trends.
– Support month-end close activities and management reporting packages.
– **Operational Metrics Tracking**
– Develop and manage KPI dashboards that reflect operational performance (e.g., throughput, cost per unit, utilization).
– Collaborate with the Operations team to define and improve metrics linking operations to financial outcomes.
– Identify trends and opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
– Ensure data accuracy across all reporting sources.
– **Ad-Hoc Analysis & Projects**
– Provide timely, structured analysis in response to requests from Finance, Operations, and senior leadership.
– Support business cases involving pricing, capital investments, and process improvements.
– Contribute to enhancing reporting tools and workflows, leveraging AI for automation.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
– 0-2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or analytical roles (internships considered).
– Strong Excel proficiency, including lookups, pivot tables, and financial modeling; comfortable with large datasets.
– Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
– Attention to detail with effective communication skills for non-finance audiences.
– Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
– A start-up mindset: adaptability, a proactive attitude, and eagerness to learn new tools.
## Preferred Skills
– Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
– Knowledge of operational, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
– Familiarity with metal recycling or e-waste industries.
– Spanish language proficiency.
– Interest in AI and data platforms like Claude and Palantir.
