# Job Title: Manager/Senior Manager, Technology Business Management & Cloud FinOps

## About the Role
The Manager/Senior Manager for Technology Business Management (TBM) and Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) will be vital in overseeing the Apptio TBM platform and leading our Cloud FinOps initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director of Technology Business Management, this position is focused on strategy execution, delivering high-quality results, and ensuring alignment among stakeholders. The selected candidate will lead a team that includes an Apptio platform team and an internal Cloud FinOps lead, managing outcomes rather than day-to-day system tasks.

The role requires a leader with expertise in TBM frameworks, Apptio tooling, and Cloud FinOps practices, alongside strong financial acumen. This position will work closely with diverse stakeholders to translate technology and cloud spending into actionable insights for business and technology leaders, directly impacting the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness.

## Key Responsibilities
– **Team Leadership**: Lead a team consisting of the TBM platform team and Cloud FinOps Lead, prioritizing project commitments and accountability.
– **Apptio Platform Oversight**: Set goals for the development of Apptio modules such as Planning, TCO, Cost Allocation, and Vendor Management, ensuring high data quality and alignment with TBM best practices.
– **Financial Reporting**: Oversee the production of executive-level financial reporting and dashboards, providing CIO-level insights into technology expenditures and performance indicators.
– **Cloud FinOps Leadership**: Guide the Cloud FinOps Lead in advancing cloud cost allocation and optimization practices, and establishing transparent cloud cost management processes.
– **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Serve as the senior contact for technology leaders and finance teams regarding Apptio and FinOps; collaborate with Corporate Finance to enhance financial reporting.
– **Governance**: Create governance frameworks and procedures for the Apptio platform and Cloud FinOps, driving automation and data integration improvements through team training.

## Required Skills
– **Experience**: 7+ years in IT Finance, Technology Business Management, FP&A, or related fields with team leadership experience.
– **Platform Experience**: Familiarity with Apptio or similar TBM platforms; experience in implementation preferred.
– **Cloud FinOps Knowledge**: Understanding of cloud pricing models and FinOps principles, along with familiarity with tools such as Cloudability.
– **Financial Acumen**: Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Workday, SAP) and solid understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
– **Communication Skills**: Proficient in engaging with technology and finance audiences, capable of presenting to senior leadership.

## Preferred Skills
– **Educational Background**: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Information Systems; MBA, CPA, or TBM Certification is preferred.
– **Vendor Management**: Experience managing third-party service delivery.

– Guide cloud cost allocation and optimization initiatives.
