## About the Role
This remote position plays a key role in enhancing financial visibility and cost optimization for the global Fittings & Fixtures Operations division. You will be responsible for consolidating, analyzing, and reporting various financial and operational data. Collaborating closely with teams in Procurement, R&D, and FP&A, you will ensure reliable month-end execution and provide accurate forecasting inputs. The role involves working within an international and improvement-driven environment, collaborating across teams in Germany, the US, Mexico, China, and Europe.
## Key Responsibilities
– **Data Consolidation:** Prepare and maintain monthly reporting packages for global operations.
– **Procurement Analysis:** Monitor raw material, component, and finished goods prices; manage the savings pipeline.
– **Month-End Close:** Create accruals and deferrals, analyze foreign exchange impacts, and prepare management presentations.
– **Freight & Cost Review:** Analyze inbound and inter-unit freight variances, identifying optimization opportunities.
– **Forecasting & Budgeting:** Collect and align financial inputs from various plants and central functions.
– **Standard Costing:** Support the annual standard cost-setting and maintain relevant master data.
– **System Support:** Assist in the rollout and maintenance of automated reporting systems.
– **Cross-Border Collaboration:** Act as an extension of the headquarters, promoting transparent and efficient workflows.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Controlling, or Business Administration.
– 1–3 years of controlling experience in operations, plant, or financial settings.
– Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.
– Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and accounting principles.
– Experience with SAP (MM/FI) and BI tools (SAP BW, IBM Planning Analytics) is advantageous.
– Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of working independently.
– Strong teamwork orientation with intercultural competence.
– Fluent in English (written and spoken).
## Working Environment
– Fully remote position based in Portugal.
– Travel to Germany 3–4 times per year required.
