# Principal Technology Business Management (TBM) Analyst

## About the Role
The Principal TBM Analyst will lead technology and transformation financial management, investment governance, and value realization across Technology Solutions, Digital, Data & Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
This role develops the frameworks, processes, reporting, and operating model needed to improve cost transparency, investment accountability, portfolio performance, and return on investment. The position supports initiatives under Transformation & AI and transformation budgets, including Technology and Digital.
Working closely with executive leadership, Finance, and transformation leaders, the analyst will align investments with organizational priorities and measurable business outcomes. The role also provides enterprise oversight of investment portfolios, benefits realization, financial performance, and resource stewardship.
## Key Responsibilities
– Lead the enterprise TBM and IT financial management strategy, governance framework, and operating model.
– Establish methodologies for cost transparency, service costing, benchmarking, investment accountability, and value realization.
– Partner with Finance and Technology leaders on budgeting, forecasting, funding, cost allocation, and cost management.
– Develop chargeback and showback models, financial analytics, and technology cost optimization capabilities.
– Establish governance standards, decision criteria, and accountability models for technology and transformation investments.
– Facilitate executive governance forums supporting investment prioritization and portfolio decisions.
– Lead benefits realization and value management programs covering cost savings, cost avoidance, productivity improvement, capacity creation, revenue enhancement, and strategic value.
– Create executive scorecards, metrics, dashboards, and reporting on investment performance and benefits realization.
– Monitor portfolio financial health, performance, risk, strategic alignment, and realized value.
– Support annual planning, capital allocation, strategic investment decisions, and long-range financial planning.
– Lead financial management capabilities for AI, cloud, digital, product, and transformation portfolios.
– Develop product-based and outcome-based funding models, agile portfolio funding practices, and value stream economics.
– Translate complex financial and operational information into recommendations for executives, governance councils, and steering committees.
– Collaborate across Finance, Technology Solutions, Digital, Data & Analytics, Innovation, Operations, and Value Engineering.
– Lead cross-functional efforts that promote accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and outcome-based decision-making.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, healthcare administration, information systems, or a related field.
– At least 10 years of progressive experience in TBM, financial management, strategic planning, transformation leadership, portfolio management, consulting, or a related discipline.
– Experience leading enterprise governance, investment management, portfolio oversight, or value realization programs.
– Experience developing business cases, ROI methodologies, benefits realization frameworks, executive dashboards, performance metrics, and portfolio reporting.
– Experience partnering directly with executive leadership on strategic investment and prioritization decisions.
– Strong understanding of technology cost structures, cloud economics, digital and AI investments, product funding models, and financial planning processes.
– Demonstrated leadership, consulting, communication, and organizational skills.
## Preferred Skills
– Master’s degree.
– Healthcare industry experience.
– Experience supporting Digital, Data & Analytics, AI, Innovation, Technology Solutions, or enterprise transformation portfolios.
– Experience with Apptio, Power BI, ServiceNow, or comparable portfolio and financial management platforms.

– Establish AI financial management practices, including consumption forecasting, token management, AI ROI measurement, and chargeback models.
– Develop budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, cost management, and financial reporting practices.
– Advance chargeback and showback models.
– Improve technology investment transparency and optimize portfolio allocation.
– Support product-based, outcome-based, and value-stream funding models.
