# About the Role

The Central FinOps team is responsible for consulting, governing, reporting on, and implementing FinOps practices across entities and product families. This role will lead FinOps activities for a designated product family.

You will establish cloud financial management practices, improve visibility into cloud usage and costs, and support effective financial and operational decision-making. The role works closely with Product and technical teams to optimize cloud usage while maintaining reliability and performance.

# Key Responsibilities

– Establish and manage cloud financial management practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
– Define and implement financial policies and controls for cloud operations.
– Monitor and report on cloud usage, costs, and performance.
– Collaborate with Product and technical teams to optimize cloud usage without compromising reliability or performance.
– Design and operate a holistic FinOps framework supporting multi-domain governance, innovation, effective decision-making, efficiency, and usage optimization.
– Promote cloud financial management best practices across department stakeholders.
– Provide FinOps consulting, reporting, and practice implementation support.

# Required Skills

– Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
– Hands-on experience in cloud operations and/or financial management.
– Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and cloud provider tools.
– Experience with financial systems and tools for budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
– Strong knowledge of cloud application architectures.
– Strong understanding of technical and financial cloud data, including cloud usage analysis, resource optimization and allocation, and operational troubleshooting.
– Cloud provider certification, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
– Fluent English.
